Twin Photoshoot - Hunter's Creek (Orlando)

Ashley, the beautiful subject of my recent maternity shoot, had her twins! On 8-9-10 (what a cool birth date!), James Luis III was born at 1:05p at 6 lbs 6 oz, and Aurora Victoria at 1:06p at 4 lbs 2 oz.

It was hard to believe upon meeting Ashley that she is expecting not one, but two little ones later this month. She was a pleasure to shoot and seemed so calm about the soon to arrive little ones.

The twins are a boy and girl - gotta love the his and hers Air Jordans.

This dress looked amazing on her.

Hands down, my favorite shot of the day.

The original plan was to do an indoor shoot - so the time of day was not great for outdoor shots. But I had to sneak in a picture of her in her bikini. If you can still work this two piece while pregnant with twins, you should have a photo to prove it.

Retouching

One of the features of my photos is the retouching. I've found that while some photographers out there will edit for color balance, effects, etc...many leave blemishes, extra chins, and other unflattering things in the photo. Or they charge extra to take them out.

Being that I have never been a natural in FRONT of the camera, I am passionate about erasing someone else's unwanted features from an otherwise great photo. I can't tell you how many times I wished that someone had told me before taking a photo that the way I was standing gave me an extra roll of side fat, or the way I tilted my head multiplied the number of chins I had. I wished even more than once the photo was taken, those items could be removed.

So, a before and after:

Gorgeous subjects, but she didn't like the "rolls" that her shirt created when she was hoisted onto her man's shoulders...the photo otherwise is too cute to discard, so...

...rolls be gone!

Already, very cute girl, but something isn't quite perfect...

Senior Portraits 2010 - Downtown Sanford

Kayla wasn't happy with the way her portraits from the studio the school hired turned out, so we set out to do something more fun. Between a small unassuming park close to her house, and some wandering around Downtown Sanford, we found plenty of great places for her to show off.

Anniversary Shoot June 2010 - Winter Park

I've known Chris and Kippy for ages - I was at their wedding, I've watched their now grown kids, so I was excited to have the opportunity to do a special shoot for them for their anniversary.

Her hair is GORGEOUS - like a shampoo commercial.

I had such a great time photographing Yannin. It was only TWO days before her due date and she was up for trying anything. I think if I had asked her to climb a tree she would have.

I didn't, of course. :)
